Values are the things that inspires us, and help drive what and why we do what we do. They help us to live a life that feels good for us, and in alignment.
Often at work or in life, when we are not achieving a goal, or are feeling ‘off’, this can be because something is in conflict with our values. Burnout can result from working at odds with our values for too long, as we become more detached and cynical, less motivated and stressed.
This exercise will help you identify and better understand your values.

Step 2: Group your values
Group your values into similar categories or themes. For example, integrity, honesty and truthfulness.
For each category choose the word with which resonates with you the most.
From this come up with your top five (5) or six (6) core values.
Once you have done identified your top values, you might want to ask yourself questions to check if your life is in alignment with your values. You could do this exercise alongside the Wheel of Life.

Where are you most organised and ordered?
When you can you most be relied upon?
When are you most focused or in flow?
What do you think about the most?
What do you talk about most with others?
