If not, check your spam!
You should have received two emails: a confirmation email from TidyCal, and a booking from my calendar.
Not got them? Please check your spam. Sometimes my emails end up in spam. If so, please mark them however you need to, otherwise you may miss follow up emails from me. You'll get reminders 24 hours and 1 hour before our call.
Please accept the calendar invite, too! This will have your Zoom link. If you'd like to meet via MS Teams, Google Meet, WhatsApp, phone or other method I've not thought of, please let me know!
If you've not got them, please email me jo@jogibney.co.uk and I'll send them manually.
An Explorer Call is an opportunity for us to chat about how coaching could help you, and see how we might work together. I'll ask you to share a bit more detail about why you're interested in coaching, I'll explain what coaching is (if you've not had coaching before), my approach to coaching, and how we might work together. We may have time to discuss the practical details, but that will all be in a follow up email anyway.
There's no pressure to sign up to coaching with me during an Explorer Call. If I think I can support you, I'll let you know and confirm details via email. If not - or if you don't think I'm the right coach for you - let me know, and I'd be happy to make some suggestions of other coaches from my network.
Coaching is very personal: you'll may end up talking about your feelings and beliefs, so you need to feel comfortable doing so with me.
Like a coaching session, an Explorer Call is confidential. The only exceptions I would break confidence would be if I had concerns about your or others' safety, and I would speak to you first. I may share some of the things we talk about in my own coaching, supervision or mentoring anonymously - meaning nobody would know it was you I was talking about. This would only be to help me improve as a coach, or provide better support to you.
If you have any questions, please do let me know.
Here are a few tips to make the most of your Explorer Call - and coaching sessions, if we work together. You will want to be at your best, so we can start to dig into what you want to change through coaching:
Are you in a space where you can talk freely, with minimal distractions or interruptions?
Have you got something to take notes with?
Are you hydrated, have you eaten recently, have you got a drink with you?
Are you clear on what has brought you to coaching?
Are you open about how coaching might help you make changes in your life?
I recently read a great blog by coach Clare Norman, setting out how you can make the best of coaching. Have a read of 'How do you show up to coaching?' on Clare's blog.
